A FORMER soldier turned dog rescuer and Sunday Times best selling author, will be visiting Tavistock's BookStop to talk about his two novels on November 3.
Pen Farthing will be stopping off in Tavistock to talk to visitors to the shop about his two books, 'One Dog at a Time' and 'No Place Like Home'.
The former soldier started rescuing dogs on his tour of Afghanistan and ended up leaving the Marines to establish his charity, Nowzad Dogs — set up to help relieve the suffering of animals in war-torn Afghanistan.
