FIRE appliances from Callington and Bodmin rescued a dog that had fallen down a mineshaft on Sunday.

The incident occurred at Silver Valley, Callington, and on arrival fire crews confirmed that the dog was approximately 30ft down a shaft.?They used lines and a triple extension ladder to rescue it.
