POLICE are appealing for witnesses after an Alsatian dog attacked a member of the public at Glanville Road, Tavistock on September 13.
The woman, who had been walking her two dogs, sustained a serious hand injury in the attack at 9.15pm.
A police spokeswoman said a man came and led the Alsatian dog away but he was unknown to the woman, who had recently moved to the area.
