JETS were soon one behind and both centre backs, Smurdon and Bray, had to make crucial saving tackles.

Jets settled and began to challenge effectively in midfield. They were unlucky not to be level after Taylor?s goal was disallowed then McCall hit the top left hand corner with a long range free kick to level the score.

Derbyshire came on after half-time and Jets made better use of the ball by playing it wide.

Doyle came on as substitute and then Dobson broke the deadlock, deservedly scoring the winning goal with a shot from the just inside the box. Further chances went begging and Jets resisted a final comeback by Torpoint to deservedly win this hard fought game.
