POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a suspected hit and run incident in Callington in which a 15-year-old boy was injured.

A teal-coloured transit van mounted the pavement in Launceston Road and was in collision with the teenager who had been walking to Callington Community College at 8.15am.

He sustained bruising to tendons and ligaments in his left shoulder and was taken to Derriford Hospital.

Police at Callington are asking anyone with knowledge of the van, which had rusty wheel arches, its owner or the incident to contact them on 101, quoting the log number 242 of 10/11/11.
