FRIENDS of Tavistock Area Support Services will be holding their first ever bumper book sale next month at the Anchorage Centre in Tavistock. Organisers of the event are appealing for local residents to 'spring clean' their bookshelves and attics to help raise much needed funds for the charity. The friends are looking for books ranging from 'airport novels' through to reference or text books. Residents with books to donate are being asked to bring them along prior to the event. The day book sale will be held at the centre on Friday, March 30 and Saturday, March 31. All proceeds raised will go to benefit local people.
