ON Saturday November 30 at West Fishleigh Farm, Hatherleigh, the dispersal sale of the pedigree herd of Aberdeen Angus cattle took place on behalf of Mr and Mrs M Fewings.

A large crowd had gathered and the sale commenced with cows with calves at foot with the top price realised being £1,522.50 for lot 10 and 10A, ?Foggy Farm Proud Umburtha?, with her heifer calf ?West Fishleigh Proud Utopia? purchased by Mr Copper of Crediton.

The herd stock bull ?Maplejack Charlie Brown? born 2/1/00 attracted great interest and after keen bidding sold at £2,257.50 to Mrs Fitzgerald of Launceston.,

Other top prices: for cows running with bulls to £1,102.50 for ?Estelle Tanya of Broomhill?; for heifers running with bull £1,008 for ?Almsworthy Evangeline?. Maiden heifers topped at £1,102.50 for ?Broomhill Bluebell?.
