THE 15th annual Stowford Garden Produce Show was held on August 9 on a wet, dismal afternoon.

Mrs Audrey Hennessey welcomed everyone and thanked all who had entered items and the volunteers who helped put on the show.

She introduced Cllr Christine Marsh who said she was delighted to be at the show, and welcomed those present on such a wet afternoon. Lillian Chick then presented Cllr Marsh with a bouquet of flowers.

Cllr Marsh, Mrs Hennessey and Mrs Anita Goswell went on to present the prizes.

A new trophy was presented especially for members of Stowford Ridge Quilters members. The Sylvia Canfield Rose Bowl was presented in memory of Mrs Sylvia Canfield, founder of the Ridge Quilters.

A scarecrow competition proved successful, and there was a good selection dotted all round Stowford village, with the judges impressed with the quality of the entries.
