A CHARITY recycling centre in Tavistock is offering people on a low income discount on recycled household goods.

Refurnish takes unwanted furniture and appliances from local houses and re-sells it to residents in the area.

David Banks, regional development manager for Refurnish Devon, said the organisation offered a 20% discount to people on benefits or low income.

Mr Banks said: 'Currently we have collected a huge amount of quality household goods and need to ensure that local people that need affordable goods can find us, so we can reduce stock held to enable us to continue to collect and reduce goods going to landfills.'

Refurnish is situated in Plymouth Road Industrial Estate in the old Do-It-All building.
