CAN I, through your newspaper, thank both the Times and the many kind people who have tried to help us find our lost dog.

Denzil has now been missing for seven weeks, the worst seven weeks of our lives.

We do wonder if some well-meaning person has found him and, thinking that he is a stray, has given him a good home.

No matter how well-meaning this would seem to be, the fact is that he belongs to us and it is our family that is suffering through his loss.

If the person who has Denzil reads this letter, just one phone call saying that they have found him will put things right, with no recriminations.

We are living in the the hope that he will soon be returned to us.
