Tavistock Ladies 1st XI 0 Teignmouth 4 TAVISTOCK?s Susannah Boulle and Lisa Butler played well in defence and it was difficult for the opposition to have a clear shot at goal as Fiona Dunn and Laura Stapleton were hassling and battling well. Midfielders Chloe Bassett and Becky Lamb made some good linking play with the forward line. The ball was up and down the pitch. Tavistock were working hard but with no definite framework, unlike the opposition who passed the ball easily and with a good pace. Jo Gaspar played well up front and created much of the attacking play. With only five minutes left of the first half, Tavistock were doing well by preventing Teignmouth from scoring. Zoe Viggers had made some solid saves, but the opposition scored two goals just before half-time. A good team talk from captain, Fiona Dunn, saw Tavistock return to the pitch with more determination. Robynne Honey had good runs up the pitch but when the ball was passed into the D there was no-one there to capitalise on it. Laura Armstrong kept strong on the wing. Teignmouth scored their next two goals with only a few minutes left. This week Tavistock are at home at Kelly College astro at 10.15am playing Exeter 3rds.
