A PET cat missing for more than a month has been seen in Tavistock and the owner is now asking residents to keep an eye out.

Ellie Carey's cat 'Ginger' went missing on May 12 after recovering from neuturing, meaning he had no collar on.

But Ellie later saw Ginger while driving in Chaucer Road, Tavistock. She pulled over and called him but because she had a child in the car, she could not jump out quickly enough and he went.

'I've been in touch with the kind people in Chaucer Road several times who tell me they see him often, but no-one can catch him. I want to say a special thank you to Mary and Amy who have put up with me knocking on their doors asking about the cat over the last few weeks.'

'Two people have already failed to catch him so he may be a bit skittish, but if he can be shut in a room then we can collect him.

'We all really want Ginger home. I've told the kids that he's on holiday!'
