THE chance to win a 'one off' designer dress and a night at a luxury hotel is up for grabs at a charity fundraiser this weekend.

This Saturday people have the chance to support a South West charity and bid on a brand new designer dress from Jasper Conran, or a luxurious night at Bovey Castle Hotel.

These are just two of the lots being auctioned at the Brainwave charity fundraiser at Moretonhampstead Parish Hall.

As well as the auction, there will also be delicious locally produced food available to buy as well as a bar and dancing to the sound of local live band the Levi Moretons.

The event is to raise money for Brainwave, which provides home based therapy and programmes for children with disabilities such as cerebral palsy, down's syndrome, autism and developmental delay.

It works with parents, training them in handling skills and exercises to enable the child to reach their full potential.

Brainwave receives no government funding and relies on donated gifts and supporters to help the charity.

The Brainwave fundraiser takes place this Saturday, April 17, at 7.30pm. Admission to the event is £5.
