Lostwithiel 3

Calstock 4

Calstock gained their first three points of the season after dominating the first half attacking the Lostwithiel defence and creating plenty of goal scoring opportunities.

It was not long until Calstock scored the first goal crossed in by Barry Hemmett for Ross Lavers to head back across goal and into the back of the net. Calstock continued to play well, however they conceded a corner allowing the home side to curl in and tap in the equaliser.

The visitors responded within seconds as Ross Lavers crossed the ball in for Barry Hemmett to volley home. Towards the end of the first half Lostwithiel scored an equaliser.

In the second half Lostwithiel scored the next goal via a corner. The visitors scored again to make it 3-3 when from a Barry Hemmett corner, Ross Lavers header deflected off the cross bar allowing Lee Hould to head home.

With 25 minutes to play Calstock were reduced to ten men and soon after nine men when Nick Tilbury and Paul Cottingham were sent off both with straight red cards. However, despite this, Lostwithiel were unable to create any goal scoring opportunities and Calstock continued to put on the pressure. Craig Keegan stepped up to whip in a free kick, which deflected through a group of players and dropped for Barry Hemmett to smash home his second goal and to earn Calstock three deserved points.
