KELLY College swimmers Cameron Brodie, Blaine Small and Molly Redford have been selected for Scottish National Squads for 2010/11.

Cameron Brodie, who turns 18 in a few days time and is studying for a BTEC National Diploma in Sport (performance and excellence) at Kelly College, has been selected for the Scottish national senior gold squad.

Cameron is a national age group champion for the 200m Butterfly (17-18 years age group) and has qualified for the Scottish Common-wealth Games to be held in Delhi in October.

Scottish swimming will be inviting the swimmers to two education days this season, in Stirling (October) and in Dundee next April, for land-based training focused on the particular needs of the athletes.

There will also be a camp in Stirling in December for the Youth Development Squad. Invtations are being issued at the discretion of national coach, Doug Campbell, for a further training camp in July 2011. The Commonwealth Games 2014 are a priority and Scottish Swimming is providing support to assist swimmers striving towards achievement at this level.

Robin Brew, Kelly College's director of swimming congratulated the three for their achievements.
