Bodmin Trophies Duchy division 3

Probus 0

Lamerton 4

LAMERTON came away with the three points after a workmanlike performance against Probus. Playing against the wind they took the lead after ten minutes when a crossfield ball from Paul Breyley found Tony Jones on the left edge of the box and his shot beat the keeper.

The advantage was doubled shortly afterwards when a good move down the right saw Paul Cowling find Zak Beesley — his cross was tucked into the net by Breyley.

The third goal was an individual effort with Dan Healy evading three challenges before sliding the ball home.

The visitors relaxed in the second half and dominated possession with Will Cann at the heart of everything in midfield. The fourth goal came when a Graham Cole free kick was headed in at the far post by Cowling. Other chances were created and missed, notably when an effort from Alford crashed against the foot of the post.

This Saturday home to Lanivet in the league, kick-off 2.30 pm.
