FROM the kick-off Tavistock?s Aisha Macauley passed to Rhianne Parsons who took the ball and slotted it in.

Saltash began to get more involved but Holly Crotke and Louise Galway played outstandingly in defence.

Another move started when Galway put in a good tackle and took the ball up the wing to slot over to Crotke but the powerful shot went wide. Macauley had chances at goal but it was a good one-two with Parsons that set Parsons up for her second goal.

Laura Corrales played her best game to date and held strong in midfield, pushing up to see her shot go wide. Ruth Cole kept her sweeper position and her strong challenges kept the ball upfield .

The second half saw Tavistock tiring and Saltash had most of the play. Della Moloney in goal made some important saves. Her long kicks upfield were met by Parsons, but shots went wide.

Tavistock Girls football team train in the sports hall at Tavistock College on Tuesdays at 5pm to 6pm. All newcomers are welcome.
