MUSIC students have celebrated success at a recent examination.

Music teacher Brenda Yeo from Lydford, was delighted with her students' results for their pianoforte and keyboard playing in their Trinity Guildhall College of Music London examination, taken at a centre in Callington.

Brenda said: 'It's brilliant, I am delighted with the results. I am so proud of all my students they have done so well.'

The exam results for pianoforte playing were: Initial — B Westlake, distinction; A McShane, merit. Grade one — S Nolan, merit; P Collingwood, merit; B Jenkins, merit; R Dennis, pass. Grade two — E Collingwood, merit. Grade three — S Batstone, pass; R Hill, pass. Grade four — J Edwards, merit. Grade five — J Pellow, merit.

The results for keyboard playing were: Initial — K Yelland, distinction; S Algar, merit. Grade one — B Voaden, pass, H Mathews, merit. Grade two — G Williams, merit; E Jones, merit; S Abel, pass; B Seymour, pass.
