Tavistock Ladies . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 4

Okehampton Columbines . . . . . . . . . 1

THE scoreline flattered Tavistock, but Okehampton only had themselves to blame, conceding goals too easily and not taking their chances at the other end.

Okehampton put pressure on the Tavistock goal from the start, but when they conceded a goal in the break they lost confidence against the high-flying Tavistock side.

The Okehampton mid-field of Debbie Pritchard, Jane Jones, Alex Collins and Jo Stephens worked well and maintained Okehampton's team shape which has been a problem in recent games.

But too many Okehampton passes went straight to the opposition, and Okehampton were 3-0 down at half-time.

The second half saw Okehampton create several good chances. The Tavistock goalkeeper made a good reflex save when the ball was deflected off a Columbine's stick from a free-hit.

Okehampton were much more cohesive in defence with Elaine Morgan having another strong game.

Tavistock scored their fourth from a cross into the circle which was forced over the line.

A well-worked move between Kelly Cooper and Jo Moppett resulted in a deserved goal for Moppett.
