RESIDENTS in Tavistock have until October 11 to give their views on the proposed details of the first phase of the large development on land off Callington Road.
The application by Bovis Homes Ltd is for approval of reserved matters for details of appearance, landscaping, layout and scale for the first phase of the residential development comprising 157 dwellings with associated landscaping and drainage infrastructure.
The outline permission for the controversial development of 750 homes was approved in 2015 along with a primary school site, a local convenience store, railway station related development and a new vehicular and pedestrian access from the A390.
The current reserved matters application proposes a range of house types and sizes, from one bedroom apartments to five bedroom detached houses — 17% of which will be affordable housing — with garaging, parking spaces and access roads as well as road infrastructure, drainage and green infrastructure, including public open spaces.
Comments on the application are being received until October 11 with the target determination date being November 30.
