VISITORS are being invited to see the dazzling colours of the florals at the Garden House in Buckland Monachorum this summer.
As a result of losing a substantial number of plants in the last harsh winter, Garden House head gardener Matt Bishop and his team had to undertake a great deal of replanting earlier in the spring.
The result of their endeavours is proving to be the best display of summer colour for years.
As a temporary measure, almost a kilo of Californian Poppy and multi-colour Catchfly seed was sown right across he whole of the South African garden, where many of the more tender plants had been lost.
This popular garden has now exploded into an expanse of vibrant colour.
Against a backdrop of dark foliage from sultry acteas and purple fennel, dahlias, penstemons and lupins form a kaleidoscope of contrasting shades, lighting up the entire length of the bottom terrace into the brightest display seen for many years.
The garden is open daily from 10.30am.
