A GREAT day out for all the family can be had at the Mary Tavy Country Fayre, on Sunday (August 10). There will be entertainment for all at Mary Tavy Recreation Ground from sheep shearing and a dog show, to a coconut shy and a cake competition. There will be plenty for children including a bouncy castle and fun games. A rare breeds display and a 'meet the farm animals' section will also be there, plus the regular dog show. For growers and cooks there will be a Vegetable and Flower Show including categories for cakes, jams and chutneys— entry forms are available at Mary Tavy Post Office and Stores before the event. There will also be a display of vintage tractors, a car boot sale, and a raffle. The fun starts at noon. Entry is £1 per car, 50p for walkers and free for children under 11.
