Tavistock Ladies 2nd XI 1

ISCA Dragons 1

WITH a slightly different formation and the new face of Charlotte Dawson, Tavistock Ladies 2nd XI came head to head for a fast and furious game against a strong Exeter team.

Tavistock, who took first push back, were quick to launch their attack.

Nicola Hawkins and Charlotte Dawson worked the ball up through the middle to lay the path for the fowards.

Sarah Guy and Dawson

battled strong up the right where the ball was switched to the left through Hawkins to find its way to Robynne Honey.

Tavistock pushed high up into the ISCA defence, where Gaynor Pollards struck the ball to be denied by the keeper but with an astute eye Robynne Honey saw the rebound and put Tavistock in the lead.

Both teams battled hard through the first half.

Dawson and Guy were superb along the right and pushed Tavistock up into the attacking area many times along with skilful play from Honey on the left.

In the second half, Tavistock conceded two short corners but managed to keep them out.

However, they could not clear the ball far enough and after great clearances from Nell Trotter, Dragons received the goal they deserved.
