STAFF from a building society in West Devon donned their wellies and braved the damp conditions to help Dennis the Menace on his road trip across the south west to raise money for charity.
Employees from the Tavistock branch of the Britannia Building Society walked 32 kilometres across Dartmoor as part of an event involving Britannia branches in the south west to raise money for the corporate charity Mencap — a learning disabilities charity whose mascot is Dennis the Menace.
The team were hoping to raise around £1,000, but managed to raise in excess of £2,000 through donations and sponsorship for their Dartmoor trek. Dennis is now on the next part of his road trip up to the south east.
