DARTMOOR Search and rescue Team (Tavistock) were called by local police on Sunday (July 9) at 12.39pm to assist the ambulance service with the evacuation of an exhausted 74-year-old woman from Littaford Tor. 

A fast walking party was deployed to the casualty site to liaise with ambulance personnel on scene, followed by a party with stretcher and oxygen. 

The casualty was stretchered back to Crockern Cottage and then transported to the ambulance at Powdermills.

Her companions were transported to Princetown to collect their transport.
