'BRILLIANT' was the verdict after the fete held in and around Peter Tavy Village Hall on Bank Holiday Monday.
With a wide variety of games, stalls and sideshows plus intrepid bungee-jumping teddy bears leaping off the church tower, there was plenty of fun to be enjoyed by the visitors and residents who crowded the village.
Jane Burden, one of the event organisers, said: 'It was absolutely excellent, it really was a brilliant day.'
She said around 40 teddy bears took part in the bungee-jumping competition — and all the intrepid toys were presented with certificates after their jump.
In addition to the usual stalls there were competitions, including those for cakes, name the baby and decorated hats. A tombola and grand draw were held and the evening barbecue proved popular, said Jane.
The event was rounded off with a quiz in the village hall.
Proceeds from the day will be divided equally between the village hall, chapel and church funds.
