FOLLOWING on from a well fought match last weekend with Tavistock narrowly losing, the men's hockey team were out in force and determined to get the win they deserved and take three points home.

The season is well into the second half and it was great to see Tavistock playing some excellent team hockey from start to finish. The star and deserved man of the match was Tavistock's Luke Daniels who scored a hat-trick before half time. He was well supported by his fellow striker Andrews and midfielders Edwards, Heard, Honey and Aveyard who kept the pace up despite being blinded by the low winter sun for half the match.

The second half remained just as exhilarating with a further three goals scored. Another two by Daniels taking Tavistock to a five, and an unfortunate albeit well worked short corner fooling defenders and scuppering their clean sheet leaving the final score 5-1 to Tavistock.
