WINKLEIGH Morris and the Cogs and Wheels Morris sides have given a boost to several deserving good causes recently, the result of a year's worth of dancing and passing around the collecting hat.

At a ceilidh held in Winkleigh Village Hall last Friday, Winkleigh Morris presented cheques to Simon Dafourn of ShelterBox and to Devon Air Ambulance for £575 each, plus £200 to Winkleigh Community Centre. The £115 proceeds from the ceilidh were also donated to ShelterBox.

Special guests at the Ceilidh were Cogs and Wheels, who presented their own charity cheque for £520 to ShelterBox.
