VILLAGES in Action is delighted to be hosting a performance by the West Country?s leading contemporary dance company C-Scape at Lydford tomorrow (Friday). With dancers that are fighting fit, and music to lift the spirit on the home front, ?Guilty Fingers? is a powerful and thought?provoking show with a nostalgic first half that takes a look at life for women in World War II and a second half that brings the story forward to 1970s Belfast. Told with humour, energy and great physicality, the show weaves film, text, dance, theatre and wonderful storytelling. It is co-directed by Sally Williams, Helen Tiplady and Kneehigh Theatre?s award winning Emma Rice, in collaboration with writer Annamaria Murphy. Sally and Helen formed C-Scape five years ago and it has become one of the leading dance companies in the south west. This dynamic pair met as teenagers in Cornwall?s county youth dance company and have returned to the area determined to bring dance to wider audiences.
