THE manager of Lloyds TSB in Okehampton had a more tiring Friday than usual last week, as she spent the day partaking in an unusual fundraising effort.

Jacqueline Scant (pictured right with Nena Yendell, Steven Thompson and Sally McIntyre) undertook a sponsored 'cycle' ride in the branch on an exercise bike donated by Phoenix Health Club.

She managed a creditable 94 miles in four and a half hours and so far has raised more than £140 for Save the Children.

Jacqueline has thanked the health club and all the customers who supported her efforts.
