After that it was Activate?s game. Good saves from Gordon and brilliant defensive work from Shaw and Glasspoole kept them from scoring. Hammond and Saunders linked well but shots went wide. Turner was strong on the wing but an injury forced her to leave the pitch. Moody and Eales joined the team and made an impact with their speed. In the second half Gordon was again released from goal and Turner stepped in. Tavistock began to get their passing sorted and when Eales brought the ball down and did a slide-rule cross to Gordon she slotted home. Player of the match: Becks Rose. Becky McMullin showed her fitness and commitment, never giving up on any loose ball and linking well with Davies. Hopkinson and Ellis were not really stretched at the back but did what was necessary when called upon. Substitutions were made and new player Ashworth made her debut and gave a good account of herself. In the second half Tavistock took the foot off the pedal but still controlled the game.
