FIREFIGHTERS from Callington, along with specialist rescue appliances from Bodmin, St Austell and Falmouth were called to Calstock on Sunday, to rescue a dog stuck in the mud at the river near Calstock.

The dog was rescued by crews using a short extension ladder, and was reunited with his owners unharmed.

The incident happened at 2.50pm on Sunday.
