TWO fire appliances from Okehampton and two fire appliances from Launceston were mobilised to a vehicle fire on the A30 eastbound, Stowford Cross, Sourton on Friday (April 8) at 4.08pm.

Upon arrival crews confirmed one vehicle on the carriageway was well alight, they set to work to extinguish the fire using two hose reel jets. Two sets of breathing apparatus were also required.

The vehicle was severely damaged by fire though crews believed the cause was accidental.
