Tavistock U15 v Whitchurch U15 THIS local derby, played at the ring on a humid evening in the Palladium League was a credit to both teams. Tavistock won the toss and elected to field. Whitchurch started well and rapidly moved into the 20s. However the loss of Ollie Frost triggered the fall of another three quick wickets. Dave Restall (29) and Joe Hair, holding up an end, got Whitchurch through a tricky period. With the extras? total and a good 13 from Tom Waddington Whitchurch finished on 118 from their 20 overs. Tavistock made an edgy start losing a wicket in their first over. Milligan (12) played some great cricket shots to get Tavistock on their way, but some good, tight, accurate bowling from Restall (5-14) and Sherrell (3-8) left Tavistock finding runs hard to come by. Waller (17), for Tavistock, contributed well but eventually the home side were bowled out for 66. Both teams can be pleased with their fielding, no dropped catches and good accurate bowling.
