A FREE event aimed at getting artists and creative companies working with local businesses to promote each others' work is being held at Buckland Abbey on Tuesday, September 22 from 5pm to 8pm.

'Art in the Workplace — Think Creative' is being organised in partnership with West Devon Borough Council, ArtsMatrix and Drake's Dartmoor business group.

With the need to think 'outside the box' to understand who the markets are and how to expand them, the ambition of 'Think Creative' is to support and sustain the local economy, establish an exceptional marketing opportunity and build awareness.

More than 30 creative practitioners are being invited to engage with a range of businesses, to promote each others work, establish new contacts and develop long term partnerships.

Possibilities range from the simple, such as wanting an artist to exhibit their work, to artists establishing contact with venues for creative workshops or holidays linked with accommodation providers looking to extend their season.
