MEADOWLANDS Leisure Pool in Tavistock and Parklands Leisure Centre in Okehampton will be hosting holiday crash courses during the summer holidays.

Both centres will be launching their crash courses on Monday, July 29 with Meadowlands Leisure Pool crash courses ending on Friday, August 23 and Parklands Leisure Centre crash courses ending on Friday, August 30.

The centres will be hosting various swimming courses, tennis sessions and fitness sessions for beginners to confident swimmers and athletes.

Some of the workshops available are butterfly and breaststroke workshops costing £16.20 or a taster for mini polo, which has an introduction price of £3.

Jon Smith, contract manager at Meadowlands Leisure Pool and Parklands Leisure Centre, said: 'We are looking forward to launching our school summer holiday crash courses as it will be a great opportunity for children in the local area to make new friends and enjoy sport together.

'As there is a variety of different courses for the children to take part in there should be something for everyone.'
