Having experienced an idyllic childhood, growing up in a village in the Cotswolds where the church, post office, pub and school were at the very heart of life, Sue Tucker cannot imagine living the non rural life. She is married to a farmer with children and grandchildren and has spent most of her working life nursing.
Five years ago she experienced a radical change of direction when she started working for the Church of England as the rural officer for Devon. Sue now considers she has two flocks and two folds : the first her highly prized flock of sheep which she regularly shows and the second the people she encounters through her work in the rural parishes.
The dinner is on Wednesday February 16 at 7pm for 7.30pm in the Terrace Restaurant, at the Ordulph Arms, Tavistock.
Tickets are £10 for two courses with a vegetarian option and can be bought from Georgina's pet shop on West Street. Taste and See is not a club and is open to all women of any age — newcomers are especially welcome.
