CHILDREN will get the chance to try something new at a country sports day on Friday, August 8. The British Association of Shooting and Conservation (BASC) Young Shots Country Sports day is returning for another year at Duchy College's Stoke Climsland campus. The all-day event will be a for children aged 8 to 15 years old to discover a range of country sports with many activities including shotgun shooting, gun dog training, archery, air rifle shooting, hide building, pigeon decoying and much more. James Green, BASC's South West Regional Officer, said: 'Our young shots days offer an excellent opportunity to try something new in a safe and supervised environment. 'It provides a fantastic insight into the country way of life and importantly they are always a great day out.
