A POPULAR West Devon community bus service has launched a new website for easy access to timings and locations.
The Tavistock Country Bus has been serving the residents of Tavistock and the surrounding areas since September 1981, and it has now launched a website to keep passengers updated with important information. The website will provide details of the services that run in Tavistock, including pick ups from Monksmead, Abbotsfield, Buctor and Redmoor going to the town centre. There is also details of the routes than run to Plymouth, Exeter, Truro, Newton Abbot, Launceston and Torquay.
The town service runs three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and these runs are coupled with a run to Launceston on the Tuesday and Thursday and to Stoke Climsland on the Friday.
Once a fortnight on a Wednesday, the bus will run to Newton Abbot and then on to Trago Mills.
Saturdays are the long distance routes and run once a month. The first Saturday of the month runs to Exeter, the second in the month to Truro, the third in the month is to Plymouth through villages in Cornwall and the fourth in the month is to Torquay. Should there be a fifth Saturday in the month, the bus will run to Dawlish.
All the information of these routes and the times that they run can be found on the new website at http://www.tavistockcountrybus.co.uk">www.tavistockcountrybus.co.uk
Anyone wishing to contact organisers can follow the link on the website or can contact 07580 260683 between 9am and 5pm, or a message can be left at any time.
The Tavistock Country Bus is run by a team of dedicated volunteer drivers. Anyone who wishes to volunteer as a driver and has the D1 on their licence should visit the website to find more information about becoming a driver.
