WHILE I welcome the referendum and would urge all local residents to get out and do something instead of complaining when it's too late, especially the silent majority, we do not deal well with double negatives.
The question to answer is couched in terms that mean if you don't want the development, say yes, if you do want it say no.
Could we not have a simple question which needs a simple answer?
Do you want it? YES ... or NO ... tick the box. We can all cope with that and we will be guaranteed the answer we thought we were giving.
God forbid that my family is right that I, Victor Meldrew number 2, am thinking there is a hidden agenda behind this methodology.
