A LIGHTHOUSE, historic buildings and a gothic creation made up some of the spectacular costumes worn as part of the Queen Mother's birthday pageant in July 2000.

Now a selection of these amazing costumes will be on display at Buckland Abbey, to celebrate the Queen's Golden Jubilee and to commemorate the Queen Mother who was president of the National Trust.

The costumes reflect aspects of the National Trust's work and were worn at the pageant by supporting celebrities, such as David Bellamy and Judy Spiers.

The exhibition will be the pinnacle of Buckland Abbey's celebrations for the Queen's Golden Jubilee and will be on display from Friday, May 24 to Wednesday, June 26.

During jubilee week, there will be children's games and activities including trails with special prizes.
