A CALLINGTON couple and their daughter have been sentenced after conspiring to steal more than £240,000 from a cleaning company.
Angela and John Chapman, of Broadmead, appeared before Plymouth Crown Court last Friday after pleading guilty to one count each of conspiring to steal from Mitie Environmental Cleaning Services between February 2002 and September 2012.
Between these dates John Chapman was working as regional manager for Mitie while Angela was working as office manager.
Judge Francis Gilbert QC sent John Chapman to prison for 21 months and Angela Chapman and Michelle French were given ten months' imprisonment, suspended for two years.
