THE regular West Devon Connect Surgery in Lifton will play host to a number of other services and agencies on Wednesday February 27. Joining the council's customer services team in the Carey and Lyd Rooms at the Arundell Arms between 9.30am and noon, will be representatives from: Devon and Somerset Fire Service, who will be on hand to promote free fire safety visits and give general information and advice. West Devon Borough Council forward planning department, to discuss the local development framework consultation on possible options for future development in the area. The Environment Agency, providing information on how to find out if you are at risk of flooding and how to protect your property. There will also be an opportunity to find out if you can register to receive flood warnings via Floodline Direct, a free flood warning service. Lifton Community Project, with a display of plans for the proposed new community centre. Local borough councillor Donald Horn, and a Lifton parish councillor will also be available to discuss local issues, and the customer service team will be able to help and advise on a wide range of council services, and to assist residents in taking up services of which they may be unaware.
