IT WAS a musical end to the year at Bere Alston Primary School who recently presented their summer concert. Many groups from the school were involved, including the drama group and a concoction of duos and quartets. Jenny Mewes Ballet School performed an extract from ?Peter and the Wolf? while Clarinetist, Ann-louise Jones played ?The Cat?; another excerpt from the ballet. In the second half, Year 6 pupils took to the stage, bringing ?Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dream Coat? to life, with the help of the schools choir. Headteacher Kim Wild said ?the children were absolutely brilliant?, and expressed her thanks to everyone involved, especially Maria Speller, who after several years working at the school is leaving at the end of this term.
