A LIVELY evening of music played on many different instruments can be enjoyed at Kelly College, Tavistock on Wednesday, March 14.

Paul Baker and Pam Smith have formed the duo, 'Diabolus in Musica' to entertain audiences with professional performances of 16th century music.

They dress in authentic costume and their instruments include bagpipes, recorders, shawms, hurdy gurdy and renaissance guitar.

Their music ranges from court to tavern, from Elizabethan dances to scurrilous ballads. As they put it: 'A performance by Diabolus isn't just another concert, it's a memorable experience.'

The duo will also work with Kelly College students on the following day, showing how much fun this music can be.

Tickets are £8 (£6 concessions) at the door. Children free if accompanied by an adult. The concert begins at 7.45pm in the Melvin Hall, Kelly College.

It is arranged by Kelly College Concert Society and is the final event in the current season. The new season starts in the autumn.
