THERE is a history of speeding traffic along Whitchurch Road that has contributed to accidents, or near collisions, involving vehicles and pedestrians at or near junctions with roads and lanes between Westmoor Park and Whitchurch Post Office. A residents? group has been formed to attempt to address this problem and is anxious to get information from people who have witnessed or suffered accidents, or near accidents, with either vehicles or pedestrians along this stretch of road. We are also keen to hear from people who have written to West Devon Borough Council about any traffic-related incident they have witnessed or been involved with along Whitchurch Road and who were dissatisfied with the council?s response. Although all replies will be treated in the strictest confidence in the first instance, we would prefer to hear from people who are prepared to add their name and address to the burgeoning list of residents who are deeply concerned about the growing traffic problem along Whitchurch Road.
