THE organising team of Halwill Community Market have expressed thanks to everyone who supported them on Saturday — the market was run especially to raise funds for the charity Help for Heroes.

The profits and donations from the stallholders and visitors, including a generous donation from a local businessman, totalled £504.

Profits from the market, which is held on the second Saturday monthly, are usually donated to organisations within Halwill, but this month organisers decided to give them to the service men and women's charity.
