NOW winter is starting to kick in, a Tavistock initiative group is urging home owners to start thinking about energy saving.

Energy Savers is a community group initiative from Transition Tavistock, supported by the Energy Saving Trust and Dartmoor Sustainable Development Fund.

The group can provide a free energy check, support and advice.

The group can help you to understand how much your energy is costing you, understanding your bill, how energy efficient your home is and what steps you can take to improve it.

As an independent voluntary group, Energy Savers is happy to offer support to anyone who is interested.

The group holds a weekly drop-in session at the London Inn, Horrabridge on Tuesday evenings between 6pm and 7pm.

They also hold 'Green Drinks' at the Union Inn, Tavistock on the second Tuesday of each month from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.
