A STEERING group has been formed to try and form a community garden in Okehampton.

The group was formed following a public meeting to gauge interest in creating a community garden on a plot of land owned by the Okehampton United Charity off Fatherford Road.

Sixteen residents attended the meeting, with a follow-up on November 1.
