Come and meet Sir Francis Drake

HISTORY will come alive with characters from the time of Queen Elizabeth I at two special weekends at Buckland Abbey.

There will be storytellers, musicians and singers, knot makers, archers and dancers, together with Sir Francis Drake himself and member of the household. Cook Mistress Millicent and her assistant will be preparing new dishes in the kitchen for Sir Francis's evening feast.

There will also be a chance to visit the shop and workshops and to taste the new Buckland Ale with lunch in the

refectory.
